My stay at the Pendray Inn was a bit of a mixed bag. The location was great as it was within walking distance of downtown and right across from the ferry, but I was a little let down by the check-in experience and the breakfast. The room was charming and comfy, and I loved the historic decor, but a few small maintenance issues did stand out.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a Deluxe King Room with a harbor view, which was spacious and comfortable. However, there were some issues like a lack of electrical outlets and dirty windows that detracted from the overall experience.
Service
6.0
The check-in process was confusing and could have been smoother. I had to seek help from the adjoining hotel, which was frustrating. Staff were generally friendly, but they need to improve communication regarding check-in procedures.
Location
10.0
The Inn's location is excellent, right by the harbor and easily accessible from the ferry terminals. I loved being able to walk to most attractions in Victoria without any hassle.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was styled like a mini afternoon tea. Though it was lovely and set in a charming dining room, the portion sizes were quite small, more like canapés than a hearty breakfast.
Facilities
7.0
The Inn included some nice touches like complimentary macarons in the room. However, I struggled a bit with the outdated check-in system and the limited facilities.

Staying at the Pendray Inn was a good experience filled with charm and history, although some service aspects could be improved. I loved the beautiful period features and my attic room, which was spacious and comfortable. However, check-in was confusing and slower than expected, and the breakfast could have been heartier. Overall, this boutique hotel has great potential and a lovely ambiance, but they need to elevate their customer service to match the stunning surroundings.

Rooms
6.0
I enjoyed the attic room with antique furniture and a separate seating area. The standalone bath was a good vintage touch.
Service
6.0
Check-in was frustrating due to unclear instructions, and the staff could improve their communication post-stay.
Location
9.0
The location is perfect, nestled between two harbor areas, making it easy to explore Victoria by foot.
Dining

Breakfast was styled like afternoon tea with lovely pastries, but it lacked a hearty selection.
Facilities

The hotel has beautiful period features and a cozy reading room, but some rooms had minor cleanliness issues.

My recent stay at Pendray Inn And Tea House was quite charming, with a fantastic location near downtown Victoria and lovely Victorian decor. However, I did encounter some service issues, especially regarding room changes that required extra effort on my part. Overall, while the ambiance and breakfast were good, the staff could use some improvement in their responsiveness.

Rooms
7.0
I enjoyed the spaciousness and charming decor, though I found carrying my luggage up the stairs quite challenging since there are no elevators.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly, there were moments when they seemed overwhelmed and were unable to assist effectively, particularly when I needed help with luggage.
Location
10.0
The location was a highlight for me, just a block or two from the Parliament buildings and close to Fisherman’s Wharf, making exploration easy.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was served in a lovely setting, and I appreciated the effort to cater to my dietary needs. It was a bit different from what I expected, but overall it was a pleasant experience.
Facilities

The inn offers nice amenities like housekeeping and a lovely dining area, though I wish there were more modern facilities available.

I enjoyed my stay at the Pendray Inn and Tea House, with its charming historical features and prime location near the harbor. However, my experience was somewhat marred by a lack of communication regarding check-in and some minor issues in my room. Overall, the inn's character and the friendly staff made for a pleasant stay, but there are areas that could use improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The room had an old-fashioned charm with antique furnishings, but I encountered some issues. The bathroom smelled somewhat unpleasant, and I noted that some areas required maintenance, such as worn wallpaper and outdated carpets. Despite this, my room felt cozy and beautifully appointed.
Service
8.0
The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcomed during my stay. However, the check-in process was confusing, as I was directed to a sister hotel initially. I appreciated their efforts to pack my breakfast to go when I had an early departure, but the inconsistency in service quality could be improved.
Location
9.0
The inn's location is fantastic, just a short walk to downtown attractions and the waterfront. This makes it easy to explore the beautiful sights of Victoria, although the charm of the surroundings doesn't make up for the issues I faced in my room.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was served in an elegant setting, styled like an afternoon tea, which added to the good experience. While it was tasty, the portion sizes were more akin to canapés than a substantial breakfast, so keep that in mind.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities included a beautiful tearoom and welcoming common areas, enhancing the overall experience. While there were no modern amenities like elevators, the historic charm made up for it, although some areas did feel a bit tired.

My stay at the Pendray Inn and Tea House had its ups and downs. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Victoria, just a short walk from the Inner Harbour and the Parliament buildings, which I really enjoyed. However, I encountered some issues with my room that put a damper on the experience. Overall, it was charming yet could benefit from some improvements.

Rooms
5.0
My room had a separate seating area and was spacious, but there was a noticeable odor that triggered allergies, and the furniture felt mismatched and outdated. I also faced issues like a missing drain plug for the bath and a broken bathroom door lock, which was disappointing.
Service
6.0
The staff were personable and helpful. They moved me to a more modern room when I raised my concerns, which made my stay slightly more pleasant.
Location
9.0
Being steps away from ferry terminals and within walking distance to various attractions made my trip much easier and enjoyable.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was quite the unique experience with a tiered serving of sweet and savory bites. The quality was impressive, and I found it satisfying enough to start my day right.
Facilities
5.0
The overall facilities have a lot of potential, but I felt they were lacking in some areas, like accessibility for those with mobility impairments.
